Queensland Government Department of the Premier and Cabinet Reconciliation Awards 2026

We were honoured to once again partner with the Queensland Government’s Department of the Premier and Cabinet to design the annual Queensland Reconciliation Awards for the 2026 awards program. This year, the client wanted to refresh the awards to align with their updated artwork and colour palette, leaving the creative direction up to us to develop a range of new concepts for the new design.

The final award features an organic silhouette inspired by the flowing forms within the artwork, paired with a natural timber frame with hand-veneered edges for a premium finish. The internal layers are made from UV printed acrylic, with the artwork carefully separated across multiple layers to create a striking sense of depth and a subtle three-dimensional effect. The recipient details are precision laser engraved directly into the timber, while the combination of layered acrylic and natural timber creates a beautiful contrast between colour, texture and dimension.

Combining CNC-machined timber, hand-applied timber veneer, layered UV printed acrylic and laser engraving, every element of the award was carefully considered to create a premium piece with depth, warmth and lasting visual impact.
