Our longstanding client reached out to us with a special request—to design and produce awards for the 2023 Excellence Awards. Given the department’s unwavering focus on environmental conservation, they sought an option that aligned with their values—a sustainable solution that was 100% recycled.

Each award bears the distinctive marks and traces of its former life, with the presence of old nails adding a touch of character and individuality to every block. To preserve the integrity of the 100% recycled nature, our team used laser etching techniques to adorn the blocks with carefully chosen text and unique illustrations provided by their talented internal creative team.

Griffith University has been a valued, long-term client of ours. Over the years, we have had the privilege of designing awards for their prestigious alumni event. However, this year, the Griffith team approached us with a request to infuse their refreshed branding and event collateral into the design.

The primary aim of these alumni awards is to honour the outstanding achievements of Griffith’s alumni. It’s a platform to recognize the diverse accomplishments of these alumni, spanning a wide range of fields and their contributions to their communities.

For this year’s event, the branding incorporated Griffith’s signature red colour, but with a unique twist—a red sparkle design. This distinctive element was used in various aspects of the event, from the event webpage to email signatures and other promotional materials. The design team made the creative choice to extend this branding feature to the awards themselves.

Each award featured transparent red and white circles printed across multiple acrylic layers. This intricate design produced a captivating 3D effect that added a new dimension to the awards. A clear acrylic window was strategically placed on the back of each trophy. This thoughtful touch allowed natural light to pass through, introducing an additional layer of depth and enhancing the overall aesthetic.

To bring the design to life, our in-house joinery team skilfully hand finished the awards, providing a high-quality timber finish. The award details were laser-etched onto the body, ensuring precision and clarity.

Every year, the grandeur of Aquis Park comes alive as they host their esteemed Racing Industry Awards—an annual event that celebrates the season and awards those who have been outstanding in their field. With a longstanding partnership spanning several years, our collaboration with the Aquis Park team reached new heights as we embarked on a mission to create a fresh and captivating design for this esteemed occasion.

Breaking away from the customary horseshoe motif that had graced previous years, the team sought to infuse a touch of innovation while retaining a subtle nod to tradition. In response, our design team created this unique frame that featured a floral wreath pattern that was utilised in previous years. In the middle of the frame, a shining gold mirror showcased the laser-cut representation of the iconic horseshoe, symbolizing the elegance and strength of equestrian tradition.

We delicately etched the finely crafted text and logos into the native Australian timber, adding sophistication and a lasting touch to these prestigious awards. To make them even more special, we added a discreet yet practical d-ring on the reverse side, making it easy for recipients to proudly display their awards on the wall.

The Indie Beer Awards shine a spotlight on the hardworking brewers all across Australia who pour their dedication into their craft. Our close partnership with the Independent Brewers Association led us to an exciting challenge: designing a fresh award for the 2023 event. The goal was clear – to create something classy and timeless while featuring the signature wheat element that defines the Indies.

Our solution was a blend of black stained timber and sleek black gloss laser-cut acrylic, forming an elegant award body. The event’s name and logo were laser printed onto a clear acrylic panel, held together with black mounts. To add a touch of luxury, we included a gold champion plate on the front of the award. This final detail brings a sense of prestige to the table, complementing the hard work that each brewer puts into their creations.

The Yokohama Porsche Sprint Challenge annually ignites North America with its captivating semi-professional racing display. At the forefront are the renowned Porsche 991.2, 992 GT3, and 718 Cayman Clubsport GT4 cars, exuding power and precision.

We were tasked to create a standout trophy honoring race winners. The trophy itself embodies the race’s essence, housing a striking vector illustration that harmonizes a grandstand and racetrack in layered acrylic, creating a dynamic 3D effect.

Designed to resonate with Yokohama’s brand colours, a black stained timber body complements the centerpiece’s red hues. The iconic Yokohama logo finds its place on a black gloss acrylic badge, which was inset into the body of the trophy and seamlessly integrated through UV printing.

Our commitment to detailed craftsmanship shines through in every detail, as our skilled in-house joinery team refines the edges to perfection with a hand veneered finish. The industrial silver screw fixings pay homage to the racing world’s mechanics, while a silver badge adds a final note of sophistication.

The annual 1800m race, known as the Aquis Park TAB Wave Raceday, takes place against the stunning backdrop of the Gold Coast. Our services were recently engaged to craft an exceptional and bespoke trophy, tailored exclusively for this occasion, incorporating a distinctive wave motif as a key design element.

Our team expertly combined laser-cut acrylic components in captivating blue hues to create a wave feature in the centre of the trophy, creating a unique sense of depth. A silver mirror embellishment was added to accentuate its visual appeal and highlight the dynamic wave feature. The body of the trophy was hand veneered by out in-house joinery team, and was carefully shaped, giving it a polished and refined character. The race details were then laser etched onto the body of the trophy, with logos UV printed onto the acrylic centre of the trophy.
