Peabody Energy Custom Award with Timber and Coal

This custom award for Peabody Energy was a bit of an interesting and unique job. We had to incorporate a piece of actual coal into the custom timber award. So after cutting the coal down and sanding it into shape, we were able to get it into the form you see below. Then we glued it into a routered down piece of Australian Black Butt with a laser etch on the face and top of award.

Directional Signage for Westfield Chermside

Here are some custom directional signage we did up for the Sunday Markets at Chermside Westfield. One part of the job was the custom signage a-frame with interchangable printed sign panels. The other were the free standing sign posts with printed timber directional signage.

Custom Timber Menus and Chopping Boards for Cliffords

Custom timber menus and laser etched chopping boards for Cliffords Grill and Lounge. The custom menus were made from a hardwood timber with a black leather spine. We kept the Cliffords branding going by laser etching their serving boards.

Custom Table Caddies and Menus for Walrus

We did these custom table caddies and menus for the Walrus Social House. The Caddys are made from New Guinea Rosewood with a Black Japan stain. The menus are using a specialised veneer in both black and white wash.

Granny Smith Festival - Custom Trophies

The guys over at Granny Smith Festival wanted us to create something special for them, so we came up with these layered optical custom trophies which have great visual impact. With the sharp vibrant colours mixed with brass and timber we couldn’t be happier with the end result!

BlueSky - Timber Sign

We created a couple of these custom timber signs for the guys over at BlueSky to spice up their reception areas around Australia. By using their corporate colours and a complementing tone of wood, we made a simple and effective wall piece, to catch the eyes of clients on their way in. BlueSky – Timber Sign

CBC Fremantle - Surfing Memorial Trophy

This was a trophy created for CBC Fremantle for a perpetual surfing award, using custom cut layers and custom colours to create this stylised wave piece.

LT Hospitality - Timber Reserved Plaques

Here’s a custom timber reserved sign we made for LT Hospitality in New York City. Made from solid Australian Native joinery timber. Sometimes simplicity is key, and we think this turned out quite nicely. The timber has a beautiful sheen that catches the light at different angles and matched with the matte black text creates an subtle but stylish table piece. LT Hospitality – Timber Reserved Plaques

Custom Aluminium book covers

This was one of the first jobs we did with our new router. We were approached by the team at The Really Quite Good Ideas Company to come up with a powder coated aluminium cover for a project they were putting together for Yellow Cover. The cover had to be quite industrial looking due to the nature of the business. The most challenging part of the whole job was coming up with a suitable binding system which was both practical and looked great.

DLX - Custom Joinery & Environmental Graphic Fitout

We just recently completed some Custom Joinery & Environmental Graphic Fitout for DLX Agencies, which put our design and joinery skills at work. Who are the agency for Hurley, Nike and Converse here on the Gold Coast. As you can see the space looks modern, simple and crisp for these premium brands. The client brief was to supply a look that would compliment the premium brands.

The job entailed 4 solid waterfall edged free standing showroom tables, 2 ‘a-frame’ counter levered solid timber shoe shelving displays. And 1 giant boardroom table (which had to be lifted in by 6 people due to the weight of the hardwood!) all made with A-grade Australian “Blackbutt” hardwood. All has been finished with natural furniture wax for a great natural wood tone and a crisp matte black paint for a subtle accent.

Robina Group - Botanique Custom Showroom Environmental Graphics

The guys at The Robina Group keep us busy with great custom work that they use to spice up their showrooms, and with a new development up an running they needed some more cool items. A custom cut and printed A frame for outside the showroom, and some custom door hangers to let people know that they’re open for business! A custom TV surround for around the touch screen inside the showroom. Some more samples boards which slide into drawers underneath a joined timber framed corkboard map to identify which areas have been sold. This all looks fantastic all together in their environment and carries the branding through the whole showroom.
